A Simple Solution For Oil Spills
Universal Remediation, Inc. has developed a green product, 'PRP®' (Petroleum Remediation Product) which utilizes NASA Sphere Technology specifically for the absorption of oil, diesel, gasoline and other hydrocarbon products; including oil and latex paints.
PRP® is a completely natural, non-hazardous, non-toxic, and biodegradable form of soy or beeswax. When applied on a contaminant, the nutrients promote the rapid reproduction of naturally occurring microbes, that use their own enzymes to break down petroleum into CO2 and water. The product will absorb twice its weight in hydrocarbons on contact and will ultimately absorb and remediate more than 20 times its weight.
PRP® is available in multiple forms:
• PRP® - Absorbent Remediation Powder
• BIO-BOOM® - A Containment Boom & Remediation System
• BIO-SOK® - (Marine) Bilge Cleaner/Remediation System
• OIL BUSTER™ - An Absorbent/Remediation System for use on hard surfaces such as concrete or asphalt.
PRP® is classified as a “sorbent” by the EPA (Compliance Certification is available), and is on the U.S. Coast Guard’s list of products approved for discretionary use by On-Scene Coordinators. PRP® is not required to be listed on the “NCP.”
